Williams District Ecoroof
The clients building these two North Portland infill mini-cottages for the rental market wanted to extend the garden to the roof. Our team added detailing to the 22° sloped roof to support the ecoroof and membrane, and loaded soil in burlap sacks to give structure to the soil and mitigate erosion. Sedum and other plantings were added, then covered with jute erosion control fabric. By covering the buildings, we eliminated all the impervious surfaces on the lot, which met the owner’s objective.
